Simple colors are then added by using a photo program. I like to treat it like a painting. This is the part where I keep experimenting with textures and different brushes. Every once in a while some of the colors will be slightly different.

The last step is the lettering. This strip didn't have any special lettering or sound effects which I really love to do. I try to write so effects will pop up more often.

The the long and short of it. I am sure this was not as technical as some would like but as they say, "Keep It Simple Sam!" The most important step which was not mentioned was to keep the monkey well fed or production will slow to a crawl. I cases of writers block just sit and watch cartoons sooner or later something will come to mind.
